Description

This talk will present different efforts in the search for New Physics, for which the full Run-2 data collected by the ATLAS experiment at the LHC is used.
An overview of the workflow followed in most ATLAS analysis will be given, with a focus on the latest results from the mono-top search.
This search looks for events with a single top quark produced in association with missing transverse momentum, which is a possible signature if dark matter is produced in association with a top quark.

Once the statistical analysis is performed and no excess is found, it is possible to quantify the sensitivity of the analysis on a certain model.
However, the work does not end here and more efforts are needed beyond the ATLAS analyses, such as combinations of different analyses and the interpretation of the results in terms of new physics models.
Thus, this talk will also present the latest results from the combination of singly-produced vector-like top searches.
