Description

The discovery of a Higgs boson with a mass around 125 GeV by the ATLAS and CMS experiments has opened a window into a fundamental sector of the Standard Model. Precision measurements of this particle’s properties serve as consistency tests for the Standard Model and provide opportunities to explore potential physics beyond it. This seminar will review recent experimental progress in Higgs physics, focusing on differential cross-section measurements of Higgs boson production in the di-tau decay channel and on searches for lepton-flavor-violating decays involving tau-leptons.
