DESCRIPTION:At the fundamental level\, core-collapse supernovae are gravit
y-powered neutrino bombs: neutrinos carry most of the energy and dictate e
very aspect of the explosion dynamics. In particular\, they set the physic
al conditions in the hot bubble surrounding the protoneutron star\, where
certain proton-rich heavy isotopes\, whose origins have been an enduring m
ystery\, could be synthesized. I will discuss the results of self-consiste
nt calculations of neutrino-driven outflows which can successfully reprodu
ce the patterns of p-nuclei observed in the solar system. Neutrino flavor
oscillations will be seen to play several important roles. They can imprin
t information about the physical conditions in the hot bubble on the neutr
ino signal that can be measured at DUNE. They can also affect the conditio
ns in the neutrino-driven outflow and the resulting nucleosynthetic yields
. To make the talk accessible at a broader audience\, several key results
in neutrino physics\, supernova dynamics\, and nucleosynthesis will be int
 roduced along the way.\n\nhttps://indico.ific.uv.es/event/7738/
