DESCRIPTION:Whether one is interested in hadronic\, nuclear\, or atomic ph
ysics\, three-body dynamics play a key role in a broad class of rich physi
cal phenomena. In this talk\, I review efforts to develop a fully relativi
stic model-independent framework for studying scattering amplitudes involv
ing three-particle states. These efforts are broad and have already have a
pplied in a variety of examples. I will review at least two key examples:
 (i) the first scattering amplitude directly from quantum chromodynamics (Q
CD) using lattice QCD\, (ii) the evolution of so-called Efimov states. For
the sake of clarity\, key concepts of both lattice QCD and Efimov physics
  will be introduced.\n\nhttps://indico.ific.uv.es/event/7679/
