DESCRIPTION:The cosmic neutrino background is a firm prediction of Lambda-
 CDM cosmology\, which at present remains undetected. A successful detectio
 n of the cosmic neutrino background could give deep insight into the evolu
 tion of the universe\, aid in the determination of the absolute neutrino m
 ass\, and potentially distinguish between Dirac and Majorana\nneutrinos. I
 n this talk\, I will give a brief introduction to the cosmic neutrino back
 ground\, before giving an overview of relic neutrino detection proposals. 
 Time allowing\, I will then summarise the present-day constraints on cosmi
 c neutrino background parameters\, from both theory and experiment.\n\nhtt
