DESCRIPTION:Effective Field Theory (EFT) allows us to efficiently describe
the dynamics of high-energy processes by systematically integrating out h
eavy particles and parametrizing their effects through higher mass-dimensi
onal operators (so-called effective Lagrangian). As a result\, it provides
a powerful framework for studying the behavior of particles and their int
eractions at energies that exceed the energy scales accessible by collider
experiments. With the advancing precision of experimental data\, it becom
es essential to include higher-dimensional corrections\, such as dimension
-eight terms\, to maintain precision and accuracy in theoretical predictio
ns for measurements in the low-energy regime. In this talk\, I will focus
on the significance of adopting an effective field theoretic approach in t
he recent precision era of particle physics. I will discuss different meth
odologies to implement EFT and their implications in understanding the min
ute features of the new physics. This will be followed by a discussion on
the recent developments towards building systematic matching procedures fo
r obtaining such higher-dimensional effective operators from UV complete s
cenarios and computation of the complete one-loop effective Lagrangian up
to dimension eight. I will conclude the talk with several examples of low-
energy effective theories and their phenomenological implications.\n\nhttp
