DESCRIPTION:Abstract:\n\nDuring the early days of quantum mechanics there
was an intense debate about the completeness of the theory between Bohr an
d Einstein. Einstein being the father of the theory of relativity realised
something spooky was happening between entangled systems that were spacel
ike separated\, while Bohr being one of the fathers of quantum mechanics i
nsisted that this was a feature of quantum mechanics that we had to reconc
ile with. In this talk I introduce the framework of ontological models to
give a mathematical description of their debate. I follow the historical t
imeline of the debate to then revise the Bell theorem with an enlightening
thought experiment\, and finish with a revision of the PBR theorem and i
ts consequences for the ontology of the quantum state.\n\nhttps://indico.i
