When high energy cosmic rays collide with earth's atmosphere, they produce a shower of particles and radiation. In these so-called atmospheric showers BSM particles can be produced just as in any collider experiment. In this talk we will discuss different production mechanisms for both long-lived particles and stable particles, as well as the detection techniques in terrestrial experiments.
