Under the assumption that there is a large energy gap between the electroweak scale and the new physics, the effects of the latter can be described with an effective field theory built out of the field content and local symmetries of the Standard Model. If neutrinos are Dirac particles, this effective field theory needs to be extended with operators involving right-handed neutrinos. In this talk I study and set bounds on several four-fermion operators using current data. In particular, operators regarding top quarks, which give signatures not yet explored at colliders, remain unconstrained. Accordingly, I also discuss an LHC analysis designed to investigate these new signals.
