Presentación del Laboratorio de Radio-Frecuencia de la instalación de Física Médica (IFIMED) en el IFIC.

Kick-Off Meeting of the Radio-Frequency Laboratory of the Medical Physics Facility (IFIMED) at IFIC.

The purpose of the laboratory is to perform investigations of high-gradient phenomena and to develop normal-conducting RF technology, with special focus on RF systems for medical and industrial applications. The laboratory consists of two medium peak-power (7.5 MW) klystrons with a high repetition rate (400 Hz). The RF output is combined to drive two testing slots to the required power. The design and construction of the laboratory started in 2016 and have been commissioned in 2019.
