Este encuentro de la Red Nacional Temática de Astropartículas (RENATA) está dedicado a todos los aspectos relacionados con el estudio de la materia oscura. Los principales objetivos son los siguientes:

Ofrecer a los grupos de RENATA un marco para presentar sus líneas de investigación sobre la materia oscura, tanto desde el punto de vista teórico como experimental
Recordar la figura del Profesor José Ángel Villar, anterior coordinador de RENATA, y su papel en el desarrollo tanto del grupo experimental de la Universidad de Zaragoza como del Laboratorio Subterráneo de Canfranc

Además, la parte final del encuentro se dedicará a una discusión sobre los experimentos de detección directa de materia oscura, que contará con la presencia de expertos internacionales.
