DESCRIPTION:I will present an overview of the search for additional neutra
 l heavy Higgs and gauge bosons in the ditau final state with the ATLAS det
 ector at the LHC. The Higgs sector is one of the most promising areas to s
 earch for new physics\; there are several theories which predict an extend
 ed Higgs sector\, such as supersymmetry (SUSY). The tau tau channel is par
 ticularly interesting as there are SUSY models where the coupling to the t
 hird-generation taus is enhanced. Although SUSY is the main motivation\, i
 t is a general search for new neutral heavy Higgs or Z' bosons. I will dis
 cuss the recently released results from a data sample with an integrated l
 uminosity of 36.1 fb-1 at √s = 13 TeV. This will include a summary of th
