The deployment of th e high\nfrequency Band 5 receivers of the SKA will enable key science in t he field\nof planet formation and Astrobiology. While the unprecedented hi gh-angular\nresolution of SKA1-Mid will allow to image the thermal emissio n of\ncentimetre-sized dust particles across the water snow line in nearby \nsystems\, its improved sensitivity with respect to current instrumentati on\nwill allow us to search for pre-biotic species such as formamide in\np roto-planetary disks and planet-sized fragments. On the other hand\, the\n low frequency capabilities of SKA-Low can be used to study the magnetic\nf ields of exolanets via their auroral synchrotron emission\, which can\npro vide information about their internal structure.
