Minutes from IFIC TileCal meeting Valencia - CERN 20th September 2007

At Valencia: Alberto, Emilio, Juan, Victoria.

Commissioning activities (Jalal):
EBC refurbishment ongoing. DVS and trigger tests daily. Daily calibration runs and weekly cosmics.

TDAQ commissioning activities (Carlos):
Read-Out: OF constants loading model working. Sinchronization issues appeared being addressed. Permanent data storage being improved.
Monitoring: Running at ROS and EF level.
DDC integration working in final model.
RCD: Added ECR and BCR to TileCal_TTCviModule. OC flush SDRAM for VME read-out. Using meta data.
RITMO: Added TTC information (LastL1ID, LastBCID, LastTType).
Upgrades to TDAQ to be discussed.
Schedule: TileCal week 4th-9th october. Next minor TDAQ release 01-08-03 for 11th october. Expect to migrate lab to 01-08-03 mid october. M5 starts 22nd October.

TDAQ commissioning activities (Belen):
Changes in DSP version:

Updated TileByteStream for unpacking and working on documentation. Online databases issue with POOL files being addressed. Upgrade from 1 POOL to 4 (TTC part granularity). Add CC to POOL files.

OMB status and DSP upgrades (Alberto):
Second prototype mounted and delivered. CRC and TTC FPGAs programmed on BOOT. Everything is working. Next step is to try in the pit!
Bug fix on BCID mismatch (missed one out of 8 when BCID mismatch on one FEB). FE BCID, TType and DSP version sent.

SUSY inclusive jets and QCD background ID (Ximo):
First set of cuts for jet with potential leakage already defined using dijets samples.
Need to study the effect of these cuts on signal and background samples for cut optimization.
We've been attending to the CSC5 Note (Searches and inclusive studies for SUSY events) 0-lepton part:
First signal cuts.
Getting ready for data production.

Higgs to muons search and low Pt muon trigger status (Arantxa):
Successfully integrated TrigTileRODMu reading. ROB data access issue for TileTileMuID.
Working on contribution to Muon Trigger Slice CSC note.
Energy deposited by muons in each layer and quality factor (Implemented offline, missing online).
Contribute in next TDAQ technical run. Work on documentation.

A→ττ (Carlos):
Improved particle selection. Δφ distribution looks good. TauRec efficiency looks good.
First cut flow. Efficiency over signal a bit low. First visible mass distributions.

Necesidades de C´a;lculo para el grupo TileCal (Bruce):
Current activities: TileCal commissioning, CSC notes, Aranta's, Carlos', Ximo's theses.
Data availability: Calibration streams, express streams, AOD. CPU Storage: O(10) cores and 1TB person.
Model: Xrootd + PROOF. Effort to build up PROOF infrastructure (packetizers). Good performance results.
