Minutes from TileCal Valencia meeting (IFIC - CERN) 14th September 2009
At CERN: Carlos.
At Valencia: Alberto, Emilio, Juan, Pablo, Victoria, Yesenia.
-
Operations:
Reported status of operations. Step foward in the integration with other sub-detectors.
-
Alberto:
Introduced pulse shape derivative in the QF. Studies with OMB giving good results after changing pulse shape in OMB. Very good agremment in CIS auto scan OF2 no iter online and offline. Still working to understand CIS mono results.
Added ROD busy monitoring, DSP memory CRC checking, conditions for frag 1, full mode input for DSP and stopless recovery.
-
Carlos:
Automatic stopless recovery is a hot topic in ATLAS run
coordination. Tile management requested urgent action on Automatic stopless recovery to be accomplished in one month. First version (disable 1 PU) is working! Second version ongoing.
Currently working on QCD background. No more coordination work this year. Attendance to NSS conference end october.
-
Eva (Alberto):
Analyzing calibrations runs. Systematic errors in Laser runs. Better results in CIS mono.
Updates to Mike's tool on DSP labels have to be updated. Check if the differences are due to the reconstruction and not to the calibration. Start working on TileMuId.
-
Yesenia:
Studying noise in detector through topoclustes. Description of topoclusters in R and λ. Tile is where most of the cells are distributed. Identified hot sopts in Tile that not affect only single cell: Correlated noise. This noise does not produce MET tails.
-
Pablo:
Working on OMB production. All issues found up to know have been solved. OMB upgrade stuck with IP communication. Planning to move to MicroBlaze.
TileRODGui bug fixes and updates. Identified issue with CRC monitoring tool in bi-gain mode. Will be addressed with Alberto's help.
