DESCRIPTION:We show how we can implement chaotic inflation in the context
of\nsupergravity by conveniently selecting the functional form of a\nstron
g enough non-minimal coupling between the inflaton and the\nRicci scalar c
urvature. The procedure can be applied when a gauge\nsinglet or non-single
t inflaton is coupled to another singlet\nsuperfield within linear-quadrat
ic\, trilinear or bilinear\nsuperpotential terms. The tachyonic instabilit
y occurring along\nthe direction of the accompanying non-inflaton field ca
n be cured\nby expanding the kinetic part of the frame function up to the\
nfourth order in powers of the various fields. In the case of a\ngauge non
-singlet inflaton\, though\, a conjugation symmetry has to\nbe imposed on
these terms in order for the flatness of the\ninflationary potential is ma
intained. On the other hand\, some of\nthese terms assist us to precisely
reconcile the resulting scalar\nspectral index with the current PLANCK mea
surements while the\nother inflationary observables are in agreement with
 data.\n\nhttps://indico.ific.uv.es/event/2000/
