DESCRIPTION:The possible changeover from the skyrmion matter to a half-sky
 rmion matter has an interesting implication for the EoS of symmetric and a
 symmetric nuclear matter\, and then can be applied to nuclear symmetry ene
 rgies and properties of compact stars. It provides a simple and natural fi
 eld theoretic explanation for the change of the EoS from soft to stiff at 
 a density above that of nuclear matter required for compact stars as massi
