DESCRIPTION:Unlike the Standard Model\, the Two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM)
  has a rich landscape of accidental global and discrete symmetries\, whose
  spontaneous electroweak breaking may lead to non-trivial vacuum effects. 
 In my talk\, I will take the first step forward and analyze a number of ge
 neric symmetries and their associated topological defects which could be r
 ealized within the 2HDM. In particular\, I will introduce a 6D Majorana sc
 alar field formalism\, in order to properly identify all possible accident
 al symmetries that may take place in the potential of the 2HDM. Then\, I w
 ill show the spatial profiles of typical topological vacuum solutions\, su
 ch as domain walls\, vortices and global monopoles\, as functions of the f
 undamental parameters of the theory. The potential implications of such so
