DESCRIPTION:Transverse momentum (pT) distributions of electroweak gauge an
 d Higgs bosons are of interest for a precision determination of the W-boso
 n mass\, Higgs search strategies\, tests of perturbative QCD\, and unravel
 ing nucleon structure. In the region of low pT\, much smaller than the hea
 vy boson mass\, large logarithms spoil the perturbative expansion and must
  be resummed. This resummation has a dramatic effect on the pT-spectrum. W
 e apply effective field theory techniques and derive a new factorization a
 nd resummation formula for the pT-spectrum which avoids ambiguities from t
 he appearance of a Landau pole in traditional approaches. We give a compar
 ison of our results with Tevatron data on the Z-boson pT-spectrum and a pr
 ediction for the Higgs boson spectrum.\n\nhttps://indico.ific.uv.es/event/
