SUMMARY:Confronting QCD with hadronic data: test of QCD and extraction of

DESCRIPTION:Experimental data from the ALEPH collaboration on hadronic dec
 ays of the tau-lepton\, in the vector and the axial-vector channels\, is c
 onfronted with QCD in the framework of Finite Energy Sum Rules (FESR). The
 se involve a polynomial integration kernel tuned to suppress the region be
 yond the kinematical end-point where there is no longer data. An analogue 
 approach is used to extract the values of the light (up-\, down-\, and str
 ange-) quark masses\, where the polynomial integration kernel is chosen so
  as to minimize systematic uncertainties due to the lack of direct experim
 ental data on the relevant hadronic spectral functions.\n\nhttps://indico.
