DESCRIPTION:\n\n In this talk I focus on our present knowledge of the h
adronic parameters which are essential for the assessment of the amount of
the CP violation that comes from the Standard Model. I discuss the recent
  lattice results for the $K^0$--$\\overline K^0$ and $B^0$--$\\overline B^
0$ mixing amplitudes. I also discuss the present status of the calculation
s for the $B\\to \\pi \\ell \\nu$ decay rate. This decay provides an essen
tial constraint onto the shape of the unitarity triangle. Finally\, I touc
h on the theoretical predictions for the heavy meson lifetime differences/
ratios an present new lattice results for the relevant matrix elements. In
this talk\, I try to omit technical details as much as possible\, to make
the main ideas clear and easy to understand to those who are not familiar
  with the lattice QCD computations.\n\nhttps://indico.ific.uv.es/event/124
