DESCRIPTION:We consider the stabilisation of the dilaton and moduli fields
  in Heterotic string theory and Heterotic M-theory. In particular\, we com
 pare the dynamical behaviour of these fields in models where supersymmetry
  is broken by gaugino condensation. For the Heterotic M-theory\, the exist
 ence of different flat directions in the scalar potential\, and the way in
