DESCRIPTION:The anisotropies of the Cosmic Microwave Background are analyz
 ed. We emphasize on the origin and meaning of these anisotropies\, which -
 -in the Gaussian case-- are well described by the so-called angular power 
 spectrum. This spectrum is obtained in various cases and its features are 
 interpreted. It appears to be dependent on the values of elusive cosmologi
 cal parameters. Appropriate measurements would lead to the observational p
 ower spectrum\, which should coincide with the theoretical one for the rig
 ht values of the cosmological parameters. Particular attention will be foc
 used on the PLANCK mission of ESA\, which has been designed to perform ver
