DESCRIPTION:The solar proton burning process is computed in an effective f
ield theory using the chiral perturbation expansion. This represents a mod
el-independent calculation consistent with the low-energy effective theory
of QCD. Its accuracy is comparable to the radiative neutron-proton captur
e calculation at thermal energy\, which is within the error bound by one p
ercent. We show how effectively effective quantum theories work in nuclear
  physics.\n\nhttps://indico.ific.uv.es/event/1101/
