DESCRIPTION:We analyze the screening effects on the nucleon-nucleon cross-
 section\, as due to the modifications introduced by the nuclear medium on 
 the propagation of the mesons which mediate the interaction. We work in a 
 relativistic lagrangian model with sigma\, omega and pi meson exchange and
  take into account renormalized vacuum contributions and sigma-omega mixin
 g. The total and differential elastic proton-proton cross section are calc
 ulated at finite density\, temperature and background fluid velocity. The 
 results are compared with experimental constraints when available.\n\nhttp
